All male employees are eligible to avail of paid paternity leave for a period of 5 days.
If an employee wants to extend the paternity leave, the employee has to give a formal notice and avail as earned leave.
To be eligible for paternity leave an employee should be a full-time employee for at least 12 months to access the paternity leave, as well that employee should have worked not less than 80 calendar days during the 12 months.
An employee who is on paternity leave should give a formal notice stating when will he be absent and when will he rejoin work.
